In the microgravity environment aboard the International Space Station ( ISS ), even basic dishes call for careful preparation: foods are vacuum-sealed, utensils are magnetic and spoons or forks are tethered down to prevent them from drifting away.
In spite of these constraints, astronauts on the ISS use their creativity to prepare some familiar and preferred recipes, making them feel more in your home.
What is it?
Recently, the team aboard the ISS made area sushi making use of everyday terminal active ingredients: rice, spam, fish, crackers and condiments. One plate consisted of shrimp with wheat crackers, which was held back on the plate thanks to the weight of the spices.
